Author Guidelines

Authors submitting manuscripts to Journal of Pharmacy and Nutrition Research (JOPANUR) are expected to follow the guidelines below.

  1. Article Types

The journal accepts:

  • Original research articles,
  • Systematic reviews, and
  • Case reports (specifically relevant to pharmacy and nutrition).
  1. Focus and Scope

Submitted articles must fall within the journal’s scope, which includes:

  • Pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences,
  • Nutrition and food science,
  • General and applied health sciences.
  1. Manuscript Formatting

File Format:

  • Manuscripts must be submitted in .doc or .docx (Microsoft Word) format only.

Language:

  • Articles can be written in Indonesian or English, but not mixed.

Length:

  • 4,000 to 7,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.

Citation Style:

  • Use APA Style 7th edition for in-text citations and references.
  • Reference managers like Mendeley or Zotero are strongly recommended.
  • At least 70% of references should be from the last 10 years.

Manuscript Components:

  • Title (max. 15 words, Book Antiqua 14 pt bold)
  • English Title (12 pt bold italic)
  • Author names and affiliations
  • Abstract (in both English and Indonesian, max. 250 words)
  • Keywords (3–5 keywords)
  • Introduction
  • Methods (including tools, materials, and procedures)
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgments (optional)
  • References

Formatting Details (from template):

  • Font: Book Antiqua, 11 pt for body text, 10 pt for abstract, table, and figure captions
  • Spacing: single line spacing
  • Page size: A4; margins: top 3 cm, bottom 2 cm, left 2 cm, right 2 cm
  • Tables: no vertical lines, max 3 horizontal lines
  • Figures and graphics: centered with captions below, font 10 pt
  • Use italics instead of underlining, except for URLs
  1. Submission and Workflow Process

Review Process:

  • Every manuscript undergoes double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers.
  • The editorial team may return the manuscript to the author for revision.
  • Revisions must be submitted within the specified time. Late submissions may be rejected.
  • Final acceptance is subject to approval by the editor-in-chief based on reviewer recommendations.

Publication Timeline:

  • Accepted articles will be published biannually (two issues per year), in June and December.
  1. Ethical Considerations
  • Manuscripts must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • All authors must have made substantial contributions and approved the final manuscript.
  • Any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, or duplicate submission will result in immediate rejection or retraction.
  • Articles will be screened using plagiarism detection tools (e.g., Turnitin), and a similarity index of <20% is required.
